- The Cord of Life and Death. An Inner Temple
Traditions Inner Convocation workshop. Part
3 of the ongoing Cord Series. At its deepest
level of sacro-magical power, the Cord is associated
with the experiences of birth, life, and death.
From the umbilical cord to the Silver Cord and
Golden Bowl of spiritual traditions, the Cord
is both our lifeline and our death-line. In
this two-day workshop, R J will teach a series
of forms (sacro-magical techniques) for working
with a physical Cord that connects to spiritual
and transformative forces. For those who have
done previous work with R J Stewart, these forms
bridge between the Faery and UnderWorld traditions,
and the Inner Temple traditions. Subjects will
include: Coming into Birth/ the birth forces
of the Lunar World/ archangelic and angelic
powers and traditions of birth and death/ a
Cord ceremony for peaceful death/ working with
the death forces of the Lunar World/ Connecting
to ancestral consciousness through the Cord/
Ascending through the Three Worlds/ Spiritual
or inner contacts at work through the Cord.
To join this workshop you must have previously
attended Cord workshops or Inner Temple workshops
with R J Stewart. This is a powerful and deeply
effective workshop: there is no "one day
only" attendance. No exceptions to this
rule.

Part 1.
A weekend workshop of part 1 in the Gate Opening
series, attuning to the inner Fire Temple in ceremony,
vision, and meditation. Inspired in part by the
spiritual teachings of A R Heaver (1900-1980)
the "hidden" Glastonbury adept, and
including material from R J Stewart's forthcoming
book The Sphere of Art. You will need a new (unused)
red cord, of your own height. If you have done
previous Gate Opening workshops or Sphere of Art

Based on R J's books The Miracle Tree, and his
Living Magical Arts series, revealing how powerful,
and how simple, the Tree of Life truly is. All
classes are in English, and are experiential rather
than comparative: no special vocabulary is required.
Most Qabalistic books or courses are limited to
the intellect, and often cause confusion. A merely
intellectual or comparative approach is insufficient.
The true function of Qabalah is not to compare
lists of concepts on a page, but to transform
inwardly, to come into radiant awareness through
our spiritual experience of the Tree of Life.
We are already the Tree of Life, growing from
Earth to Stars: how could we not be? The Tree
of Life is our home within the cosmos. Come and
experience direct insights and methods from a
teacher who has worked within western hermetic
Qabalah for more than 35 years. R J Stewart was
initiated into the Franco-Russian lineage of Qabalah
that includes many leading figures such as Papus,
Schwaller-de-Lubicz (Fulcanelli), the composer
Eric Satie, and into the western tradition lineage
of Dion Fortune, W G Gray, and the Glastonbury
adept A R Heaver.

- Memorial Day retreat and ongoing teacher
training. (Not open to new members) This event
has two components:
1) The overall Inner Temple Inner Convocation
retreat, which is open to anyone who has attended
previous workshops with R J Stewart or has worked
with any of the current Inner Temple teachers.
2) Closed sessions for those already in teacher
training. There is one overall fee for the
entire event ($500). The closed teacher training
sessions are included for those teachers who join
for the entire retreat. There are no single day
or drop-in options.
- Due to a death in his family Steve Blamires
will not be joining us this year to teach on William
Sharp/Fiona Macleod. Our deepest condolences and
kind wishes go out to him and his family, and
we hope to bring him to the StarHouse in 2009.
- Other themes include a full day on Working with
Inner Contacts and a full day on spiritual and
sacromagical rites of cleansing, liberation, and
purification. The retreat will feature the methods
of working with the Arch of Heaven Invocation
that appears in UnderWorld Initiation and other
books, and the Lightning Flash and the Streams.

This is an "invitation only" gathering,
for those already working with the Sphere of Art
and the stellar fire temple, with R J Stewart.
If you have attended a previous workshop or gathering
on this theme, you are eligible to join.
Developed from teachings and inner contacts, initiated
by the hidden Glastonbury adept A.R.Heaver (1900-1980),
The Sphere of Art is the most advanced method
in R. J. Stewart's Living Magical Arts series.
Themes will include infusion with the Aesch Mezareph
(Fire of Purification) and the conscious merging
of the Arthurian and Arimathean mysteries through
the Rivers of Blood and Tears. Each annual British
gathering on this theme seeds new aspects of the
Fire Temple/Zadok work, which are later expanded
by dedicated small groups in Britain, the USA,
Holland, Egypt, and Brazil. Early booking is strongly
recommended for this event.
This course is open ONLY to those who have taken
The Gate Opening Part 1 at Glastonbury Town Hall
2006 or at Hawkwood College 2007 or to those who
have taken the Fire Temple courses in USA.
- HAWKWOOD COLLEGE is a comfortable course centre,
situated in its own wooded grounds, only 5 minutes
drive from the main-line rail station at Stroud,
Gloucestershire, accessible from Paddington Station,
London. It has been home to the on-going magical
work of Gareth Knight and of that of John and
Caitlín Matthews, and is also where R.J.Stewart

THE MYSTERY OF THE SEVEN
DIRECTIONS: A new workshop with R J Stewart
In
spiritual traditions and in all forms of magical
arts worldwide, the Seven Directions play an
essential role. In this weekend workshop we
will explore the Directions through discussion,
meditation, vision, and simple ceremony. They
are well known as Above, Below, Within, East,
South, West, and North, but have many hidden
aspects that can lead to profound changes of
consciousness. . If you are a relative beginner or experienced
in working with the Directions, you will find
much inspiration and new information in this
workshop!
Modern
people can be alienated from the Seven Directions
in countless ways, and our understanding of
the Directions often comes from a simulation
or from text rather than deep interaction.
Our transportation, our communications
media, our entertainment, our work conditions,
all conspire to alienate us from a harmonious
sense of Place and Direction.
The very assets and gifts of modern culture
can keep us limited to simulations and confuse
our perception. How may we cure this? We cannot
live as our primal ancestors lived, nor in most
cases, would we wish to. Yet to be complete
humans, we have to re-learn how to relate to
our world, after generations of alienation,
hostility, and rejection. The concept of the
Directions and Sacred Space is widely known
in alternative culture, but when we look more
closely we find that it is often treated as
a “given” or an accepted notion that is not
deeply considered.
R J Stewart is the author of 41 books and has been teaching workshops
and classes internationally for 27 years. He
developed this new workshop after discovering,
much to his surprise, that in any working group
of students many people have widely varying
ideas on the Seven Directions. Some chose to
bypass the concept entirely or treat it as a
merely formal introductory phase to any meditation,
ceremony, or visualization. Yet the Seven
Directions are the foundation of everything that we are. We cannot Be without them…this is true in the natural
world, and even more significant in the spiritual
worlds. Working consciously with the Seven Directions,
and not limiting them as “symbols” or “attributes”
can bring direct and powerful liberation of
consciousness. Join
