Greetings!
This is the first newsletter of 2004 and there are many new
things to report!
The Western Traditions in the 21st Century
Our special retreat in Glastonbury, for
August 2004 is already almost fully booked, with a wonderful
and potent team of teachers, speakers, magical mediators.
I am looking forward, very much indeed, to this unique gathering
that spans generations, traditions, and techniques of spiritual
and magical arts in our time.
Concerts and musical recording
This year I have started giving more concerts,
and have been writing a series of new songs. I am still working,
slowly, on a new CD of original songs, release date to be
announced.
NEW PUBLISHING RELATIONSHIP!
I am very pleased to announce a new publishing
relationship with my good friends in the Lorian Association,
with ongoing plans to publish new books for the future. The
first one, on Cord meditations and spiritual exercises, will
be written and published during this year!
Workshops for 2004
During 2004 and ongoing, I will be opening
out new workshops in many parts of the USA. In the Faery
Ritual Magic series now features The Well of Light,
the Mystery of the Double Rose, and The Faery
Cord/Faery and Spirit Cord/ Cord of Life and Death. These
are major new workshops. The Cord series
begins with faery tradition, but leads into the Inner Temple
tradition, bring the two streams of work together harmoniously.
The Well of Light series bring new advanced
work into the arena of group workshops for 2004.
The other new series is The Fifth Nameless
Goddess, which is the latest development in the Inner
Temple work. Workshops are being held in various parts of
the USA. In New York this forms an ongoing magical and spiritual
task. I began this series with some exploratory meetings back
in Britain in the early 1990’s, and moved more deeply
into it after a visionary experience during the Gulf War,
but it lay dormant until the year 2000. Now is the time when
this spiritual presence opens out in our world, bringing profound
change.
And from time to time we will be working
with The Sea Temple, the Inner Temple of the West.
This will take the form of occasional retreats and workshops,
to be announced in the Calendar.

Ongoing Writing and Publishing
The Miracle Tree, (Demystifying the
Tree of Life) published in 2003 by New Page Books, is
still available in all good bookstores, or from www.rjstewart.net.
Reprints of Living Magical Arts,
and Advanced Magical Arts are now ready to go to
press! I am looking forward to the long awaited reissue of
these books, which deal comprehensively with techniques and
concepts of magic for the modern world. They were originally
written, in the 1980’s as books for magical arts in

Dreampower Tarot
My ever-patient agent, Simon
Warwick, is working with US Games Systems to confirm publication
of a new edition of The Dreampower Tarot. Meanwhile
you can still get copies of the old Harper Collins/Aquarian
Press edition by searching online. Do not pay outrageous prices;
there are sharks out there! You can still find copies at around
$39.00 plus shipping.
Merlin Tarot
I am pleased to announce that the new edition
of The Merlin Tarot published in 2003, is still available,
making its 20th year in print. If anyone tells you that this
deck is not available, cite the new edition, which is available
in the USA and UK. There are also translation editions in
French, German, Japanese, and Italian.
PLEASE NOTE: The new edition of Merlin
Tarot is published by Element (a division of Harper Collins
UK). This is NOT the same Element Books that collapsed 3 years
ago after failing to pay many authors. Same name, different
people. If a bookseller or distributor says that Merlin Tarot
is unavailable, they are wrong. Remember: The only barrier
between the reader and the author is the publishing industry.
Tree of Life Course
The course is flourishing, with excellent
feedback from course members and substantial new material
being issued with each mailing. Participants can also attend
the sporadic 1 day Tree of Life workshops at reduced
cost, so please consult the online Calendar,
which is updated as new workshops are confirmed. Course administration
is undertaken by Willow.

The course is still growing, and is far
larger than I had originally envisioned. Module 1 has been
revised, expanded, and completed, and I am now working on
the expansion of the later Modules.
NEW MATERIAL IN THE COURSE: most recently
I have been working on a new and powerful association between
tarot trumps and the meditational exercise known as The Cube
of Space. This cuts through and replaces much of the incomprehensible
nonsense that you find in many publications on Tarot and the
Tree of Life, and offers a series of highly effective energetic
spiritual forms.
Another new feature of the Course is that
I am slowly building a file of questions and answers that
have been emailed as people work with the Course: this will
make a valuable resource that will be circulated to all course
members, beginning with Module 1 questions and answers.
